12 LỜI  NGUYỆN
DÂNG LÊN  ĐỨC QUÁN THẾ ÂM BỒ TÁT

thứ 1 : Con xin mở rộng lòng thương và tìm cách bảo vệ sự sống, niềm tin của mọi người, mọi loài ( I pray and vow to open my heart and find ways to protect life anh faith for everyone  and every  living beings )

thứ 2 : Con xin mở rộng tầm hiểu biết , để có thể thấu rõ gốc rễ khổ đau của kẻ khác mà tìm cách chuyển hoá , nâng đỡ  và hộ trì ( I pray and vow to extend my understanding, so as to be conscious of the roots of sufferings of others, in order to find ways to transform , support and assist them)

thứ 3 : Con xin nguyện từ bỏ những tập khí tham ái, hờn giận, trách móc, để con có thể vui sống với mọi ngưòi trong gia đình và chung quanh con ( I pray and vow to restrain from greed, anger, and blame , so as to live happily  with everyone in the family and those around me )

thứ 4 : Con xin nguyện cho tự thân, gia đình, thân bằng quyến thuộc con và mọi người, mọi loài được sống trong an toàn, hoà thuận và thảnh thơi . ( I pray for myself, my family, my relatives and friends, and all beings so that they will live in peace, harmony and comfort. )

thứ 5 : Con xin nguyện ngồi vững chãi để lắng nghe nguời khác nói năng, tâm sự.  Dù cho nhũng lời nói ấy có xúc phạm đến cá tánh của con, con nguyện không đối đáp bằng những lời thiếu từ hoà, khiếm nhã. (I pray and vow to be impartial and composed , in order to mindfully listen to expressions and feelings of others.  Even if those words may harm my nature, I vow not to reply with words that lack harmony and humility.)

thứ 6 : Con xin nguyện thuờng xuyên trở về với hơi thở, tập dừng lại sự suy nghĩ, nói năng, để lắng nghe tiếng chuông tỉnh thức và mọi âm thanh. Con biết rằng mỗi âm thanh đều có mang thông điệp của sự yêu thuơng và năng lượng tuệ giác  mầu nhiệm. ( I pray to be mindful of my breathing, silence my thoughts and speech, so as to hear the awakening bell and each sound-wave . I know that each sound-wave carries the message of love and the wondrous energy of wisdom )

thứ 7 :  Con xin nguyện cho người đau chóng lành bệnh, ngưòi già được săn sóc, người mệnh chung có đủ duyên lành sanh về cảnh giới an vui, trong sáng của đức Phật A Di Đà. ( I pray for speedy recovery of the sick, the caring for the old, and for the deceased to have the good affinity to be reborn in the land  of bliss _ the realm of  Amitabha Buddha .)

thứ 8 :  Con xin nguyện cho kẻ nghèo đói đựơc no cơm ấm áo, kẻ tội lỗi sớm biết ăn năn, kẻ tù đày mau thóat ngục tối, kẻ tàn tật được  thân tướng tốt đẹp, kẻ nghiện ngập được tỉnh cơn mê, kẻ sát nhân tự buông khí giới. ( I pray for the poor and hungry to have food and clothing, the sinful to be remorseful , the emprisoned to soon be free, the crippled to have restored features, the addicted to be rehabilitated, and the murderers to surrender their weapons.)

thứ 9 : Con xin nguyện cho mọi người và  mọi loài sơm nhận ra tự tánh thương yêu, bình đẳng của nhau. Đừng ai xem nhẹ tánh mạng của ai, đừng ai vì oán thù, ganh tị, ích kỷ mà gây khổ đau cho nhau. ( I pray that all beings may soon recognize  the innate nature of love and equality  embedded within them. No one should undermine the life of others, and no one should cause harm to others, because of  hartred, jealousy, and selfishness.)

thứ 10 : Con xin nguyện cho hành tinh xanh này, muôn đời là trái đất xinh tốt . Phương nào cũng sản sinh nhiều dòng sông tươi mát, nhiều loại dược thảo ngũ cốc, hoa trái thơm ngon để dâng hiến cho con người và muôn loài no đủ ( I pray that this blue planet, forever and ever , be a healthy  and glorified world. Fresh streams will flow all directions ; fine herbals, good grains, and high-quality fruits will be plentiful to nuture mankind  and all other beings)

thứ 11 :  Con xin nguyện cho mọi người và mọi loài sớm thành tựu được giới đức thanh tịnh, định lục vững chãi, trí tuệ sáng suốt. ( I pray for everyone and every beings to soon achieve serenity, strength  of determination , and wisdom )

thứ 12 : Con xin ngưyện cho mọi người và mọi loài sớm có đầy diệu lực, ngàn tay ngàn mắt và tự tại vào ra ba cõi để cứu độ chúng sanh trong mười phương thế giới . (I pray for everyone and every being to soon have subtle energy, thousand arms, thousand eyes, and to be at ease  to move  about in the three realms, so as to deliver all beings from suffering in the ten directions of the universe .)
